Heartwood presents a $15,000 check for the Richmond Hill Miler Club

What a morning for a run! Heartwood’s 4th Annual Run for the Hill 5K is officially in the books, and Mother Nature delivered a little more fall weather than anyone expected. What started as a comfortable morning quickly turned brisk when the wind picked up, creating the perfect backdrop for a morning of running, friendly competition and community spirit.

For the second consecutive year, Heartwood partnered with Richmond Hill High School’s Cross Country and Track & Field program to host the 5K in conjunction with the Richmond Hill Invitational. Together, the events brought runners, student-athletes, families and supporters together for a morning centered on fitness and giving back.

“One of the things I appreciate most about this event is the incredible support we receive from the partners who help us build Heartwood every day,” says Paige Glazer, Real Estate Development Manager at Heartwood. “St. Joseph’s/Candler and Bē Health, RLC, Shoreline Landscape, Pulte, Benchmark, Coleman Company, Preserve and Novare Group are always right there alongside our development team, eager to help us bring ideas to life. And when those ideas benefit local kids, they never hesitate to step up. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and commitment to this community.”

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and participants, this year’s Run for the Hill raised $15,000 to benefit the Miler Club, an initiative led by Richmond Hill High School’s Cross Country and Track & Field program that encourages elementary students to build healthy habits through running, jogging and walking during recess. The program has already engaged more than 3,200 students and logged over 14,500 miles, proving that a few laps at recess can add up to something pretty remarkable.

At Heartwood, healthy living isn’t an afterthought. It’s part of the foundation of the community. From miles of trails and outdoor recreation to our partnership with St. Joseph’s/Candler through Bē Health, Heartwood is designed to make healthy choices a natural part of everyday life. Supporting programs like the Miler Club extends that philosophy beyond our neighborhoods and into the lives of the next generation.

Thank you to every runner, volunteer, sponsor and supporter who helped make our fourth annual race another success. We’re already looking forward to the fifth!
